The media coverage on the USSSA Pride and NPF softball this season has come a long way and has made significant strides in getting the attention of the Professional Sports World and the Fastpitch world in general.
The USSSA Pride have played “Home” series’ this season at many different places in many different states. In June they traveled to Corpus Christi, TX where they took on the Akron Racers in a 3 game series in which they swept 3 games to none. The Press coverage there was great, with front page sports section press releases on the mornings following every game. Some of the media releases by Corpus Christi can be found here:

When the Pride traveled to LSU for their home series against the Carolina Diamonds, they won 2 games to 1 in a 4 game set, with the last game getting postponed due to rain. The trip was one that Pride Head Coach Beth Torina was extremely excited about, as was her team. As Beth Torina is also the Head Coach of the LSU Tigers and going into her second year as coach. This Pride season comes on the heels of a NCAA Womens College World Series appearance for Beth and also Pride pitcher Brittany Mack. The crowds in LSU loved seeing Mack take the mound as a professional athlete after a fantastic college career there at LSU. The media coverage there was outstanding and if you click below you can read some of the local papers articles written about the series:

A 4 game road trip to Akron turned out to be a spectacular one for the Pride, as the Prides bats came alive in a huge way. The Racers were beat 3 games to 1, the Pride losing the last game of the series. It was enough to catch the attention of a local newspaper. Read about it:
