National Professional Fastpitch Announces 2018 Game Schedule

VIERA, FL. (March 14, 2018) National Pro Fastpitch announced its 2018 regular season schedule yesterday. The schedule slates each of the five NPF teams for 48 total games each and a season total for the NPF of 120 games over the course of nearly three months. The USSSA Pride will play each of its home games at the newly renovated USSSA Space Coast Stadium at the USSSA Space Coast Complex in Viera, Florida.

Although the schedule positions each of the teams with 48 regular season games, competition is staggered this year to allow Beijing and Aussie to participate in the World Championships, held August 2-12 in Tokyo, Japan.

“NPF fans will have a slightly longer season in 2018 in which to follow professional softball action,” commented Commissioner, Cheri Kempf. “As we integrate international teams into the NPF, it is important that we are flexible in working around teams and players that are participating in primary global competition, including the Olympics. This schedule accomplishes that and is a testament to the efforts made by all league teams to continue to work together to grow the game of softball.”

The USSSA Pride season will open on May 30th, with the Aussie Spirit visiting the USSSA Space Coast Complex in Viera, FL. The final game of the 2018 regular season is scheduled for August 12th as the series between USSSA Pride and Chicago Bandits concludes at home for Chicago at The Ballpark at Rosemont.
