Kissimmee, FL-The Natasha Watley Foundation is hosting the 6th Annual Holiday run at Woodley Park in Van Nuys, California on December 15, 2015. The Natasha Watley Foundation recently hosted a spring race on March 1st of this year. This event not only raises money for the community through the Natasha Watley Foundation but hopes to “empower young women to make healthy lifestyle choices, develop strong self-esteem, and to become leaders of character through participation and training in the sport of softball.”
Registration is now open until December 14, 2015 for the 5K as well as the 10K. Today is the last day you may register as an early bird so be sure to visit NatashaWatleyRace.com to secure your spot! Registration is also available on the day of the race.
Team registration is also available online, a minimum of five team members can register as a team and receive a $5 discount to participate. Teams will also have the opportunity to compete in the “Team Challenge” as well. If you cannot make the race, you may also register as a virtual runner. There are also volunteer opportunities available if you would like to help out during the holiday run. People are needed to help out with water stations, registrations, and check-in so if you are available please don’t hesitate to go out and help!
The event begins around 7:00 AM and will run for about three hours. In addition to the 5K and 10K there will be a Kiddie Run, a costume contest, a raffle and a silent auction. All proceeds go to the Natasha Watley Foundation in hopes of maximizing “awareness of the foundation while promoting active and healthy lifestyle choices for the youth of today.”
