NPF Announces Schedule Change For Regular Season Carolina Diamonds and USSSA Pride Series

The NPF has announced a schedule change for the month of June. The June 23 double header featuring the USSSA Florida Pride and the Carolina Diamonds was originally scheduled to be played at Knights Stadium in Ft. Mill, SC. The location of the double header has been changed and will now be played at the NTC Softball Complex in Clermont, FL. The double header is part of a day of celebration recognizing the 40th anniversary of Title IX and both games will air on ESPN3 live at 1:00 and 4:00 pm EST.

“The Pride and the Diamonds are playing each other in Florida on Thursday, June 21 which would have forced a quick turnaround in travel for both organizations. With the Title IX celebration on the 23rd, we wanted to be sure the players were adequately prepared for a full day of competition and ancillary activities and it became clear that the best way to do that was to eliminate some of the travel. We regret the inconvenience this may cause to fans of the Carolina Diamonds, but we are looking forward to hosting this exciting day at the National Training Center in Clermont,” commented NPF Commissioner, Cheri Kempf.

There is a $5.00 General Admission fee for the double header . Tickets can only be purchased at the venue.

The NPF regular season kicked off last weekend and will continue through August 19. The 2012 NPF Championship Series will be hosted August 23-26 at the Ballpark at Rosemont in Rosemont, IL.
