Pride Looking Forward to Corpus Christi Showing

The USSSA Pride’s first home series will not take place in Kissimmee/Orlando Florida, but in Corpus Christi, TX on June 14-16. It is one od the many places that the NPF has chosen to take actual league games on the road. The idea being to gain exposure throughout the country and get Pro Fastpitch to the states and areas that dont have a home team in their state or region.

The Akron Racers will be the oppenent in CC in 3 days of softball that will give the fans 4 games of world class softball.

In the 2012 season the Pride will travel to Corpus Christi, TX as well as Daytona Beach, Florida and LSU in Baton Rouge, Lousianna. Pride coach Beth Tornia, who is head coach of the LSU Tigers, will have quite the experience coaching her Pro Fastppitch team on the very field that she spends most of her days during the year coaching her college team.

Megan Willis and Francesca Enea visited Corpus Christi earlier in the year. The Press release could be read HERE.

The Pride welcome back 16 players from last years roster including former olympians Natasha Watley, Jessica Mendoza, Caitlin Lowe, and Cat Osterman. New additions to the Pride include former Bandits player Jamee Jurez, along with 3 draftee’s that have committed to joining the Pride in which 2 have signed. Brittany Mack, Krystyn Sandberg have signed , and Nikia Williams will sign later next week.

2012 marks the start of a season of redemption for the USSSA Pride, who won the regular season last year but failed to capitalize in the Championship series, and suffered a dissappointing loss to the Chicago Bandits.
