USSSA Pride to Host Dads and Daughters Night
VIERA, FL (June 14, 2018) – In honor of Father’s Day, the USSSA Pride will host a special game night honoring dads. ‘Dads and Daughters Night’ presented by Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam CPAs and Associates, LLP, will be a fun night to recognize all dads, including softball dads and the dads of our USSSA Pride players.
Catcher Chelsea Goodacre, the 2017 Gold Glove Award Winner, was coached by her dad during her entire amateur career. “My dad has been the biggest influence in my career as a softball player. From day one, he was always outside making me better. He’s my toughest critic and biggest fan, and to this day, he knows my skills and the adjustments I need to make better than myself! Without his presence, I wouldn’t be the player I am today representing the Pride and the NPF.”
Presenting sponsor Steve Bierbrunner from Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam is a softball dad himself. His daughter Morgan Bierbrunner plays high school softball at Holy Trinity under coach Ken Kretschman. Ken is the father to Kelly Kretschman, the three-time NPF Most Outstanding Player and two-time Olympian from Satellite Beach. Kretschman was coached by her dad from age six to 12 and he still plays an instrumental role in her career.
“I appreciate baseball in general, but now that my daughter has been part of softball, I have developed a great appreciation for it. I, as well as the firm [Berman Hopkins Wright & LaHam], also like to support the local community. I think this is a wonderful opportunity to focus on, and strengthen the importance of the Father/Daughter bond and family!” said Bierbrunner about his reasoning for wanting to support the Pride’s Dads and Daughter Night.
