Kissimmee, FL—July 19, 2016—The USSSA Pride’s weeklong home stand continues as they begin a three-game series with the PA Rebellion starting on Wednesday, July 20.

The Pride concluded their opener at the ESPN Wide World of Sports on Monday, finishing up a three-game series against the Chicago Bandits. They lost the series one game to two and will try to bounce back and hold on to their league lead.

The Pride last played the Rebellion in late June. The two teams faced off in seven straight games in three different series. The Pride went 5-2 against the Pennsylvania team, winning all three series with a two-game sweep in the final series. They’ll look to continue their domination of the Rebellion this week.

Series Schedule

Wednesday, July 20, 8:00 PM (ET)

Thursday, July 21, 7:00 PM (ET)

Friday, July 22, 7:00 PM (ET)

Pride players to watch:

  • Kelly Kretschman: A frequent appearance in the “Players to watch” category, Kretschman is leading the Pride in 11 major offensive categories. Those categories include batting average (.467), SLG (.767), OBP (.532), hits (42), home runs (7) and stolen bases (10-11, .909). The 11-year veteran is leading her team in league-leading fashion, and the Pride will count on her to continue to lead them to victory.
  • Sierra Romero: The standout rookie is having a stellar season so far. She is batting .368 (good for sixth in the league) with just 68 at bats. She has 25 hits with three doubles, two triples and four home runs while knocking in 17 runs. In statistics for the Pride, she trails only Kretschman in batting average, SLG (.647) and RBI.
  • Keilani Ricketts: Ricketts is showing her strength in her starts this season. Although she struggled in her most recent start, she gave up just four hits and one earned run while walking three in her complete-game appearance against the Dallas Charge.
  • Hannah Rogers: Rogers has been dominant in both starts and relief appearances. With the third-best ERA in the league and a fifth of the Pride’s 20 wins credited to her, Rogers is likely to be solid in tight situations against the Rebellion.
