Kissimmee, FL—June 21, 2016—The USSSA Pride showed fight late but could not put up enough runs to top the PA Rebellion tonight. The Pride dropped the second game of the series with the Rebellion 3-1. They picked up just their third loss of the season, moving to 7-3. Hannah Rogers picked up the loss.

The Rebellion went up early, scoring two runs in the first inning. They scored again on a home run from Kristyn Sandberg. They would not score again as the Pride held them to three runs.

The Pride would score just one run, despite numerous opportunities with runners in scoring position. Their lone run of the game came off the bat of Hallie Wilson, who hit a single through the left side with Shelby Pendley standing on third. The rest of the lineup would try to keep things going but could not get it done.

Jolene Henderson came in the game as relief for the Pride after Rogers gave up a double to Goler, her second of the game. After walking the first batter she faced, she retired the next four consecutive batters. She faced just five batters total.

The Pride will try to take the series by winning the finale tomorrow at 7:00 PM (ET).

Final Score:

USSSA Pride: 1

PA Rebellion: 3
