Kissimmee, FL-Since its inception in 2011, the Jr. Pride program only seems to be grabbing more momentum. In recent events the Jr. Pride program added a European team out of Kaiserslautern, Germany. Founded in June of this year, the European Jr. Pride compete all throughout Europe to showcase their talent.

On October 10th the European Jr. Pride competed in the 3rd Annual Tompoezen Softball Tournament. Located in Rotterdam, Netherlands the European Jr. Pride traveled close to five hours to compete in this tournament assuming they drove.

Starting on Saturday, the USSSA European Jr. Pride won their first game against the Birds of Zoetemeer, Netherlands 8-7. Following the win they ended the first day of the tournament with two tough single-run losses against the Twins of Oosterhout, Netherlands and the Flyers of Nieuw Vennep, Netherlands.

Although the European Jr. Pride went undefeated on Sunday, winning all three of their games against teams from Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, the two losses unfortunately kept the European Jr. Pride from the finals.

However, they placed fourth in the tournament with an overall 4-2 record.
