Series Preview: Pride vs. Rebellion at ESPN Wide World of Sports
Kissimmee, FL – July 17th 2015- The USSSA Pride will host their second consecutive home series at ESPN Wide World of Sports in Kissimmee, Florida starting on Saturday, July 18th. This four game set against the Pennsylvania Rebellion is the second of three series’ the Pride will play on home turf here in Florida. First pitch is set for 8:00pm (ET) on Saturday and 7:00pm (ET) Sunday-Tuesday.
After winning a four-game series against the Chicago Bandits 3-1, the Pride now lead the league at 22-8. The Rebellion, after winning their previous four-game series with the Dallas Charge 3-1, are headed to Kissimmee 8-24 on the season.
This Rebellion and Pride match-up marks the fourth time the two have seen each other this season. So far, the Pride has won all seven games.

Pride Players to Watch:
Team pitching: Stellar performances by the Pride pitchers have resulted in league leading stats. Collectively, they stand with a 1.65 ERA in 217 innings pitched and have managed 245 strikeouts – 37 more than the second place Chicago Bandits.
Jordan Taylor: is still first in the league with a 0.34 ERA in 20.2 innings pitched. After Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Bandits, Taylor has eight saves on the season.
The Kretschman and Wiggins duo: has league leading offensive stats. Kelly Kretschman leads the league with 36 hits, is in second with 17 runs scored, and first with 8 stolen bases. Additionally, Megan Wiggins leads the league in RBI’s with 20, is tied with Kretschman in first with 6 HR’s, and her 51 total bases is second to Kretschman’s 58.
Rebellion Players to Watch:
Team fielding: The Rebellion defense currently resides at second in the league in team fielding with a .974 fielding percentage. Additionally, their putout total of 698 is actually 23 ahead of the Chicago Bandits with 675.
Courtney Senas – currently has a team leading .266 batting average as well as a .375 slugging percentage.
Alisa Goler – has stolen the Rebellion team lead in numerous categories with 21 hits, 8 RBI’s, 3 HR’s, 33 total bases, and 12 walks.
Fun Fact:
– The last time the Rebellion came to Kissimmee, Florida was in 2014. The two teams played a four-game set at Osceola County Stadium where the Pride took the series 3-1. The two never saw each other at ESPN Wide World of Sports.
– The Rebellion and Pride are both coming off of 3-1 series wins. The Pride won the series against the Chicago Bandits 3-1, and the Rebellion won the series against the Dallas Charge, 3-1.
– The last time the Pride and Rebellion saw each other, Pride pitchers Keilani Ricketts, Chelsea Thomas and Hannah Rogers threw three consecutive complete game shut-outs in the final three games of the series.
