Four Bulldogs Named NFCA All-Region Selections (5/17)

“Senior Kristyn Sandberg and junior Tess Sito were selected to the Southeast Region First Team at catcher and first base, respectively, while senior pitcher Erin Arevalo and freshman shortstop Paige Wilson were chosen to the Southeast Region Second Team.”

Game 1:

“As the base runners advanced to third and second, respectively, off of a wild pitch, senior Kristyn Sandberg’s two-RBI single tied the game.”

“Sophomore Macie Couey would pinch run for Sandberg and steal third and score on a CCU error.”

Game 2:

“Freshman Paige Wilson and senior Kristyn Sandberg collected the team’s two RBI.

“Wilson followed with a RBI-double off the center field wall before the second UNC error of the inning on Sandberg’s at-bat allowed Wilson to score.

“Sandberg extended Georgia’s lead to 3-0 in the third with her 19th home run of the season with a solo shot beyond the left center field wall.”

Game 3:

“Freshman Paige Wilson started the inning with a single to center before senior Kristyn Sandberg got to first on an intentional walk.
