The USSSA Pride meets the Oviedo Junior Pride

USSSA Pride’s Ashley Charters and Jenn Salling met with the Oviedo, Florida Junior Pride team following their practice. The opportunity allowed the junior Pride team to ask a number of great questions and learn what it takes to play in the National Pro Fastpitch. The Oviedo Junior Pride is an U12 team that did a great job in showing Charters and Salling some of their team spirit with a few pre-game cheers.

The Oviedo Junior Pride team is one of 70 Junior Pride teams that have started up across the country. The great representation of the USSSA Pride junior teams provide an avenue for today’s young female softball players to feel like one of the Professionals bearing similar uniforms and equipment. Who wouldn’t want to feel like they can take the field looking like their favorite professional Pride player? The grass roots initiative continues to encourage young females to strive for their dreams of someday playing in the National Pro Fastpitch and encourages continual growth in the sport of softball.
