Game 1:
“Kristyn Sandberg, who reached base six times in seven plate appearances, led off the 15th inning with a walk and moved to second on a groundout by Ashley Razey. With one away, Griffin reached on a two-base error that scored Sandberg for the game-winner.
“…Sandberg recorded the second out by making a diving catch in foul territory. LSU’s runner at third seemed to score the winning run, but was called out for leaving early, as Sandberg had already thrown the ball back to Arevalo in the circle.”
Game 2:
“…Kristyn Sandberg led the Bulldogs offensively, going 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of singles and a double. Sandberg also scored a run for Georgia.
“…Ashley Pauly, who reached on an error, came home on a Sandberg single and made it a 2-0 game.
“…Georgia added a pair of runs in the top of the third to take a 5-0 lead after Sandberg opened the inning with a double.
“…Goulder came away with her second RBI-single of the day, rocketing a pitch to a diving Allison Falcon at second that scored Sandberg from second and extended the Bulldog lead to 6-1.”
