The USSSA Pride took the game against Cal State Fullerton 8-6 Wednesday Night.
Fullerton, CA- The USSSA Pride are well into the 2015 Fall Tour already on the cusp of facing Cal State Northridge in game three of the third annual fall tour. First pitch is set for 12:30 PM (PT) at Matador Diamond in the City of Angels.
Wednesday night, USSSA Pride faced Cal State Fullerton in game two of the Pride Fall Tour. The Pride took the lead early with a 6-0 advantage in the first but Fullerton battled back to reach the final score of 8-6. This match-up featured another solid attendance number with 1,082 fans and kicked-off the fall schedule for Cal State Fullerton.
With the upcoming game against the CSUN Matadors on October 17th the Pride will have played three of five fall tour exhibition games. The final two stops for the Pride in California will be Cal Poly on October 19th and Fresno State on October 21st.
NPF veteran and recently retired Pride great Natasha Watley has been competing with Team Toyota in the Japan Softball League but following the season’s conclusion, Watley will be back in her home state of California. Watley will reprise her role as Director of Operations for the Matadors, a role she acquired before the 2011 Matador softball season.
On October 16th, the Pride will be instructing in Cathedral City, CA for the second USA Elite Select All American Camp located at Big League Dreams. This camp will feature college coaches from Auburn, University of Redlands, CSUN, San Diego State University, University Of California Riverside, Roosevelt University and the University of Nevada.
