USSSA Pride to Host Beijing Eagles in Last Home Series

Viera, FL– August 7, 2017-The Pride continue the month of August with a four-game series against the Beijing Eagles on August 7th, 8th and 9th at USSSA Space Coast Stadium. This series marks the Pride’s last home series before the post season begins.

Last night the Pride clinched their fourth consecutive NPF regular season championship, the 6th title in franchise history, and have secured their spot in the 2017 NPF Championship Series set to being August 17th in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The Pride improved to 34-8 with last night’s win and have seven remaining games of the regular season.

In forty-two games, the Pride offense has scored 210 runs, with 51 home runs, 193 RBI and 338 hits. The Pride pitching staff has totaled 238 strikeouts with a 1.68 ERA. In their last series played, the Pride swept the Dawgs in a three-game series, outscoring Scrap Yard 9-1.

As of July 15th, the Pride have an overall record of 5-0 versus the Beijing Eagles this season. The teams will meet for the final time this August before the postseason begins with game one set for a 7:05 PM (ET) start time on August 7th. This series features a double header versus the Eagles on August 8th with a game one 5:05 PM (ET) start time. The four-game series concludes on August 9th with first pitch set for 7:05 PM (ET). Fans can watch every Pride game all summer long on NPFTV.com.

  • Kelly KretschmanKelly continues to dominate offensively leading the NPF in 5 offensive categories: hits (51), runs (30), avg. (.500), on-base percentage (.630) and slugging percentage (.794). On the season, Kretschman has totaled 11 doubles and 2 triples with 5 HR and 18 RBI.
  •  Shelby Pendley: Currently leads the league and USSSA in home runs (12). On the season, Shelby has 27 RBI, 31 hits, 26 runs, 3 doubles and is hitting .265.
  • Chelsea Goodacre: In the past three nights Goodacre has homered every consecutive night to bring her current HR stats to nine, second-best in the league, tied with Lauren Haeger. On the season, Goodacre has totaled 26 RBI, 34 hits, 23 runs and is hitting .298.
  • Sierra Romero: Currently leads the Pride in RBI (30),only four behind the league leader. On the season, Romero is batting .308 with 7 HR, 32 hits and 16 runs..
