USSSA Pride Head Back to USSSA Space Coast Stadium to Face Racers and Eagles

Viera, FL– July 13, 2017-With a few road games behind them the Pride are back home IN Viera tomorrow night. This Friday, July 14th, the Pride will be hosting the Akron Racers in game one of the series with first pitch set for 7:05 PM (ET). July 15th and 16th USSSA Space Coast Stadium will be hosting two doubleheaders. The first double header will kick off on Saturday, July 15th, featuring the Akron Racers and the Beijing Eagles at 5:05 PM (ET) followed by game two featuring the USSSA Pride and the Beijing Eagles at 8:05 PM (ET).

The series concludes on July 16th with a second double header featuring the Akron Racers and the Beijing Eagles in game one set for a 5:05 PM (ET) followed by game two featuring the USSSA Pride and the Akron Racers with first pitch set for 8:05 PM (ET). All games will be played at USSSA Space Coast Stadium located at 5800 Stadium Parkway Melbourne, FL 32940.

The Pride currently stand at the top of the league with a 20-6 record. In twenty-six games, the Pride have scored 127 runs, with 25 home runs, 115 RBI and averaged a .450 slugging percentage. The Pride pitching staff has totaled 161 strikeouts and have averaged a 1.77 ERA.

Pride Players to Watch:

  • Kelly Kretschman: Kelly currently leads the league in batting average (.500), runs (19) on-base percentage (.628) and slugging percentage (.859). She leads the Pride in hits (32), runs (19) batting average (.500), slugging percentage and on-base percentage.
  • Sierra Romero: Is leading the Pride team in home runs (5), tied with Shelby Pendley, and leads the Pride and the NPF in RBI (21). She currently has 20 hits on the season, hitting .303 with 12 runs and a.413 on-base percentage.
  • Chelsea Goodacre: Has four home-runs on the season with 20 hits, 17 RBI, 15 runs scored and is hitting .282 with a .301 on-base percentage.
  • Jordan Taylor: Jordan leads the league in ERA (.686) and has 7 saves with 17 strikeouts in only 10.2 innings pitched this season.
