PROFESSIONAL: Enters her 5th season in the NPF. Thomas was drafted by the Pride in the 2013 NPF College Draft as a 5th round pick. Thomas has a career record of 18 wins and 9 losses. Thomas totals 156 career strikeouts over 206.2 innings of work.

2016 Season: Chelsea closed out her fourth season with an overall record of 7 wins and 2 losses and a 2.98 ERA in 12 starts. In 65.2 innings pitched Chelsea struck out 46 batters and kept her opponents to a .255 batting average.

2015 Season: Chelsea started 13 games and completed her third season with an overall record of 8 wins and 3 losses with a 1.73 ERA. In 81 innings pitched Chelsea struck out 64 batters and kept her opponents to a .222 batting average.

2014 Season: Thomas pitched 43 innings posting a 2-3 record with a 2.93 ERA. She struck out 32 and started eight games.

2013 Season: Saw limited action as a rookie. She posted a 1-1 record with a 3.29 ERA. In 17 innings of work, Thomas struck out 14 and limited opposing hitters to a .222 batting average.

COLLEGE: 3-time NFCA First Team All-American (2011, 2012, 2013), 2013 SEC Pitcher of the Year, 2011 and 2012 Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, 2013 First Team All-SEC, 2011 and 2012 First Team All-Big 12, 2013 All-SEC Defensive Team, 3-time Top 25 Finalist for USA Softball’s Player of the Year award.

PERSONAL: Chelsea Thomas is the daughter of Rich and Dana Thomas and was born January 26, 1990 in Pleasantville, IA. Thomas’ father played football at Central College. The eldest of two children, Thomas has one younger brother named Collin. She majored in Biology at the University of Missouri before earning a masters in Positive Coaching. She is currently the assistant coach at McKendree University in Illinois.
